It is simply that the amount of pandas in the world are declining.The Pandas natural habitat is being destroyed by new construction in China and they are hunted for their popular fur. They have been put on the endangered species list in 1930.

They are a treasure, they are a national sybol of the people is republic of China, they are so rare that estimates say that there are only 100 left in the world, the only way to get them is if China gives you one as a gift, getting one is an extreme honour.
Infact if you got two pandas and they have a panda cub, the cub is the property of China and must be returned as soon as possible.
